The National Twelve Bell Striking Contest Final
St Mary Redcliffe, Bristol
Saturday 28th June 2025

Welcome, and thank you!
St Mary Redcliffe church and the ringers of Bristol hosted the 50th anniversary of The National Twelve Bell Contest Final on Saturday 28th June, which was first held here in 1975.
We are grateful to the hundred of ringers, friends and visitors who attended St Mary Redcliffe to witness the following nine teams ring for the Taylor Trophy:
Ancient Society of College Youths, Birmingham, Cambridge, Exeter, Guildford, St Paul’s Cathedral, Society of Royal Cumberland Youths, York, and our home team, Bristol.
For the first time in the history of the contest, Bristol were awarded first place by the judges with an astonishing 96%, which is believed to be the highest ever score in the contest.
If you missed it, Matthew Tosh and his fab team broadcast the event live on YouTube. Click here to watch and listen to the broadcast.
