About the event
We’ll provide you with all the information you need if you are planning to come to Bristol on 28th June.
Getting here
We strongly recommend that you travel by train to Bristol Temple Meads railway station, which is served by Cross Country trains from the north and south west, and by Great Western Railway trains from London and the south west. The church is about a 10-minute walk from the station.
Bristol City Council recently introduced a Clean Air Zone, and this is likely to incur drivers of vehicles not meeting the criteria with a daily charge. Plus, parking near the church is either restricted, limited or pricey. And lovers of beer and cider won’t be able to enjoy the choice of excellent beverages.
Staying here
Bristol has a plenty of hotels in the city centre and on the outskirts. More details will follow soon
Food and drink
There will be on-site catering to provide various food options throughout the day (including gluten free and vegan), along with hot and soft drinks.
Our bar will feature a selection of fine real ales, including a low alcohol content beer, plus cask cider – all from Bristol Beer Factory.
Glassware
The use of glassware on the premises is strictly prohibited. We will provide reusable plastic pint cups for a small deposit on the day (which, if you forfeit, you can take home at the end of the day).
Cashless!
The event will be cashless. All payments will require a debit/credit card, Apple Pay etc.
Marquee
There will be large marquee in the church yard, so whatever the weather, you’ll stay dry or shielded from the sun.
Please note that wristbands will be required to access the church yard, marquee, toilets and food stall. Wristbands can be obtained on the day, along with programmes and tokens to purchase alcohol.
Toilets
We regret that the church toilet facilities are inadequate for an event of this magnitude, so we have hired in portaloos – including an accessible toilet – and urinals.
Accessibility
There is step-free access to the church yard and the church.
Souvenirs
Pint glasses and a selection of polo and t-shirts will be available to buy. We hope to make these available for pre-order in an online shop soon!
