Getting here
We strongly recommend that you travel by train to Bristol Temple Meads railway station, which is served by Cross Country trains from the north and south west, and by Great Western Railway trains from London and the south west. The church is about a 10-minute walk from the station.
Bristol City Council recently introduced a Clean Air Zone, and this is likely to incur drivers of vehicles not meeting the criteria with a daily charge. Plus, parking near the church is either restricted, limited or pricey meaning that lovers of beer and cider won’t be able to enjoy the choice of excellent beverages we’ll have on offer!
Staying here
Bristol has a plenty of hotels in the city centre and on the outskirts.
Wristbands and programme
Access to the churchyard, marquee, catering and toilets is restricted to those attending the final and you will require a wristband. The programme is included in the price though you are not obliged to take a copy. You can pre-order now in the shop and collect on arrival, or purchase on the day.
Children go free! You do not need to purchase wristbands for children but we will provide them on the day at no cost.
Food and drink
There will be on-site catering providing various food options throughout the day (including gluten free and vegan), plus soft drinks, hot drinks and cakes!
Our bar will feature a selection of fine real ales, including a low alcohol content beer, plus keg cider – all from Bristol Beer Factory. Other ciders will be available, along with red and white wine.
Alcohol tokens can be purchased on the day along with a reusable, refundable plastic pint cup, which is required for the consumption of beer and cider. You can also pre-order alcohol tokens and plastic pint cups in the online shop now, and collect on the day.
No glass!
The use of glassware on the premises is strictly prohibited. You will be required to use our plastic reusable plastic pint cups, as they are pint-to-line (which reduces spillages and ensures correct measures), and they are rigid. They cost £2 and are refundable upon return to us, or if you forfeit, you can take home.
You can also pre-order your plastic pint cup in the online shop and collect on arrival.
Cashless!
The event will be cashless. All payments will require a debit/credit card, Apple Pay etc.
Marquee
There will be large marquee in the church yard, so whatever the weather, you’ll stay dry or shielded from the sun.
Please note that wristbands will be required to access the church yard, marquee, toilets and food stall. Wristbands can be purchased on the day or pre-ordered now in the shop. Children go free!
Toilets
We regret that the church toilet facilities are inadequate for an event of this magnitude, so we have hired in portaloos – including an accessible toilet – and urinals.
Accessibility
There is step-free access to the church yard and the church, and an accessible toilet.
Babies and children
Children are very welcome at the final and we want to make sure everyone has a great day in Bristol.
Inside the church there is a play area with lots of toys, and a craft table for your children to get creative. Outside in the churchyard there will be some garden games (Jenga and connect 4) and circus skills equipment.
We ask that all children are accompanied and supervised by their parents/guardians at all times, including with the above activities.
There are basic baby changing facilities on site but please note these are only accessible via steps. Please ask one of the volunteers if you need directions to find this.
Children go free! You don’t need to buy them a wristband but we will provide them on arrival.
Souvenirs
Pint glasses and a selection of clothing (including polo and t-shirts) is available to buy now in the online shop. We hope you’ll be able to attend the final and collect these on the day, but shipping options are provided for an additional fee.
There is a deadline for clothing orders for collection at the event of Sunday 15th June. See the shop for full details.
Dogs
St Mary Redcliffe is a dog friendly site but please keep your pets on a lead and under control at all times.
Live broadcast
We’ll be sorry not to see you in Bristol if you can’t get here… but you don’t have to totally miss out. Matthew Tosh and his fab team will broadcast the event live on YouTube on the day.
